Teachers on the Bay Invitation |
By Jim Groff As many of you know, the Northern Neck Audubon Society sponsors several scholarships for teachers signed up for Teachers on the Bay, a field-based three-credit course taught by Bill Portlock of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Using St. Margaret’s School as its base, the five-day course
explores the Rappahannock River system’s ecology from the Chesapeake
Bay to above Rappahannock Academy aboard the Baywatcher, a 42’ research
vessel out of Norfolk. The course takes place from July 14 to July 18,
and graduate credit is granted through Trinity College in Washington,
D.C. |
