Blue Bird Boxes to be Built
AUDUBON TO BUILD BLUEBIRD NESTING BOXES THIS MONTH

The Northern Neck Audubon Society (NNAS) will begin its annual bluebird nesting box project this month. This year’s goal is to build 500 boxes.

The boxes will be built at Albert Pollard’s workshop in White Stone. Woodcutting will take place Friday and Saturday, December 10 and 11; and assembly will be done Monday through Wednesday, December 13 through 15.

Volunteers are needed for this project, which helps to preserve and maintain the bluebird population in our area. To participate, contact Ron Feldman at 804-580-8987 or Fred Witschey at 804-453-9090. No woodworking experience is required, and volunteers may participate for as little or as much time as they like over the duration of the project.
